PRESIDENT AND CEO

Usman Tahir Jutt is a father, philanthropist and entrepreneur who is passionate about building better communities and helping Albertans succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Usman bought his first business while attending university in Camrose, Alberta, when he purchased his first struggling gas station. After turning the gas station into a successful business, he founded a consultancy to help increase profitability in gas stations across Canada. Clients included Shell Canada, Parkland Fuel and Husky Energy. In 2006, Usman became a retailer for Husky Energy where he spent six years and won numerous awards for his leadership and dedication to the communities where he operated.

In 2013, Usman decided to try his hand at something different, and became the youngest owner operator with McDonald’s Canada. Today, Usman owns and operates more than a dozen restaurants in Calgary, Airdrie, Strathmore, Olds and Innisfail and is one of the largest employers of young people in Southern Alberta.

Usman operates his McDonald’s franchises through Chirp, a Calgary-based company that pushes boundaries and thinks differently. From french fries to philanthropy, Chirp is focused on building a better Calgary, Alberta, and Canada. Usman is passionate about community building and removing barriers for non-profits, charities, organizations and people across Canada.

“I WOULDN’T BE WHERE I AM TODAY WITHOUT MY INCREDIBLE TEAM. WHO WORK DAY AND NIGHT TO PROVIDE OUR CUSTOMERS WITH THE BEST POSSIBLE GUEST EXPERIENCE.” ~USMAN JUTT
